Al Fresco on Front
Scene Illustration

Al Fresco on Front in Belleville’s Downtown District was a little different in 2020 due to the pandemic, but the organization still made it an exciting summer event for locals and tourists. To start the hype for the ongoing event, the Belleville Downtown Improvement Association approached me to conceptualize and illustrate how Front Street (main street downtown) would look shut down to cars, extended store hours, live music, ice-cream, parklets all while keeping social distancing in place.

Using a few photos for reference, I recreated a few of the Downtown stores in their beautiful heritage buildings, how pedestrians would be able to interact and enjoy themselves, and how the painted outdoor parklets would appear. It’s lively, exciting, safe and just a touch of a trendy with a vintage style.
